Down the TBR Hole ★ 5

Down the TBR Hole is a bookish meme created by Lia @ Lost in a Story.

Down The TBR Hole is a meme that revolves around cleansing your TBR of all those books you’re never going to read and sort through it all to know what’s actually on there. Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when youre scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well thats going to change!
It works like this:
• Order on ascending date added.
• Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if youre feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
• Read the synopses of the books
• Decide: Keep it or should it go?

We're back again with the segment known as Down the TBR Hole! Fasten your seatbelts, keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times, Once Upon a Time,  I Read a Book and its owner is not responsible for any additions to your TBR list and is indemnified in any book buying that occurs as a result.

Wellington Letters by Cheryl R Lane
I'll be honest, I was feeling nostalgic for my past when I added this to my TBR. I grew up learning history before I was even in school, so this was pretty neat at the time, but not a book I'd enjoy. I'll Kondo this and bid it adieu.
Bad Karma by Douglas Clegg
Bad Karma creeps me out in a special way. A patient obsessed with her doctor and she breaks out of the asylum to go get 'her' man? Just nope. Hard pass.
One Station Away by Olaf Olafsson
I honestly added this to my TBR because look at the author's name. I love that so much. It's just gold. Beautiful beautiful Icelandic gold. But, alas, I'm not a fan of the synopsis so I'm never going to read One Station Away. So, I'm going to remove it from my TBR and forever remember Olaf Olafsson as a wonderfully named person. *Also, I'm not mocking the name, I like the repetitive thing. My initials are MRMRL. It's awesome.
Any Way You Slice It by Kristine Carlson Asselin
I like the synopsis on this one. It reminds me a bit of the Disney Channel movie Go Figure. Which I loved. Hockey and Figure Skating. Yes, please. I'm keeping this one on the TBR list and hopefully moving it the Read List soon!
Say My Name by Allegra Huston
I'm just not a fan of books or movies or shows that feature cheating. I know sometimes relationships are complicated and leaving can be dangerous, I've seen that firsthand as a child, but I've been cheated on and I've also seen it as a kid, it's not okay in my books. It just leaves a horrible taste in my mouth. So this is leaving my TBR.

Alright then! That wraps up this visit to the TBR Hole. Tell me, do you think I made any mistakes? Did I add to your TBR? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time, darling readers, have a happily ever after!
