Down the TBR Hole ★ 8

Down the TBR Hole is a bookish meme created by Lia @ Lost in a Story.

Down The TBR Hole is a meme that revolves around cleansing your TBR of all those books you’re never going to read and sort through it all to know what’s actually on there. Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when youre scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well thats going to change!
It works like this:
• Order on ascending date added.
• Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if youre feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
• Read the synopses of the books
• Decide: Keep it or should it go?

We're back again with the segment known as Down the TBR Hole! Fasten your seatbelts, keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times, Once Upon a Time,  I Read a Book and its owner is not responsible for any additions to your TBR list and is indemnified in any book buying that occurs as a result.
Love Songs & Other Lies by Jessica Pennington
Y'all. Between the synopsis and other reviews, this book sounds like a complete trainwreck and I have to read it just to get my lookyloo badge. Love Songs & Other Lies is going to stay on my TBR.

Rust & Stardust by T Greenwood
I received an ARC of this back when I first started blogging and was willy-nilly requesting - the title got me. I really read the synopsis and, oof, it's really, um, problematic for me. So I passed it on to another reviewer who would read it. I'm removing Rust & Stardust from my TBR.

Zero Hour by Megan Erickson
A romance surrounding a hacker bent on vengeance? Whoops. My finger slipped and I bought that.

Strangehold by Rene Sears
Honestly, this sounds super weird. A magical plague and a gatekeeper teaming up with a random fae to go rescue her nieces on the other side of the gate to the faerie world. Okay then. Let's check out the weird! We'll keep this on my TBR for now.
Running in the Dark by Sam Reaves
This was one of 'branch out of my regular genres' adds. It sounds so interesting but also a bit of an adrenaline buzz, and kind of like some of my favourite books so I should like this, right? Now I just need to read it, yeah? This is going to stay on my TBR and hopefully join my reading list soon!

Books I Kept  4

Alright then! That wraps up this visit to the TBR Hole. I haven't gotten rid of much on my list this time, but I did find some weird stuff, right? How does this stuff keep showing up on my list! Tell me, do you think I made any mistakes? Did I add to your TBR? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time, darling readers, have a happily ever after!
